The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Systems and Virtual Modeling (IJASVM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal covering applied artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, and virtual/simulation-based modeling. We publish original research that takes AI and systems techniques out of the theoretical and into working, evaluated implementations — detection systems, recognition frameworks, simulation environments, and applied deep learning across real-world domains.
Our focus is deliberately applied. We're less interested in incremental architecture tweaks and more interested in work that builds, deploys, and evaluates a system end-to-end — the kind of research that shows not just that a model works, but that it works on a real task, with real data, and real constraints.
Scope. We welcome submissions on (but not limited to):
- Applied machine learning and deep learning systems
- Computer vision, object detection, and image recognition
- Intelligent automation and AI-driven decision systems
- Virtual and simulation-based modeling
- Human-AI interaction systems (recognition, proctoring, conversational agents)
- AI applications in domains such as transportation, education, agriculture, and healthcare
- Systems engineering and integration of AI components into larger pipelines
- Web- and cloud-based deployment of AI/ML systems
Peer review. Every submission goes through double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers with relevant subject expertise, coordinated by our editorial board. Reviewers with a personal, financial, or institutional connection to a submitted manuscript are recused from the process.
Open access. All articles in IJASVM are published open access, free to read with no subscription or paywall for readers.
Publication ethics. IJASVM follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines on authorship, data integrity, plagiarism, and conflicts of interest. Submissions are screened for originality before entering peer review, and we maintain a clear process for handling misconduct allegations, including correction and retraction where warranted. Authors are expected to make code and datasets available where feasible, to support reproducibility of applied systems work.
Who we are. IJASVM is edited by a board of active researchers and practitioners working across artificial intelligence, computer systems, and applied modeling. The journal has published its inaugural volume (Vol. 1, No. 1, Jan–June 2026), and continues to publish on a rolling issue basis.
